Today we have the pleasure of sharing the experience of Faes Farma, a Spanish pharmaceutical company that was founded in 1933 in the Biscayan neighborhood of Lamiako, where a pharmaceutical and R&D factory was established with an initial area of 4,000 m2. Today, this company has offices in Madrid and Barcelona, as well as subsidiaries in Portugal, Italy, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
In 2021, Faes Farma began the construction of a new pharmaceutical plant in Derio (Bizkaia), which has more than 60,000 m2 and triples its initial production capacity. Before deploying the DORLET® solution, time control was managed through an obsolete application that did not integrate Faes Farma's other systems, preventing tasks from being automated and making the use of the different tools more complex. The initial challenge was the need to implement a more secure and efficient access control and time control system.

Faes Farma opted for DORLET® solutions due to the need for an advanced and scalable access control solution, integrated with time control and with Faes Farma systems, highlighting the possibility of integration with third-party systems and ad-hoc developments in time control.

How would you describe Faes Farma's experience with DORLET® products and solutions? Do they meet expectations?
Faes Farma's experience with DORLET® has been very positive, highlighting the improvements in functionality, as well as the robustness of the installed devices. It has been so positive that after starting the systems at the Lamiako plant, they have been deployed in the other locations in Spain, a total of 7. The expectations have been met, the proximity and listening to our needs together with the involvement of the team were a guarantee of success.
What were the specific security needs that Faes Farma had before implementing the DORLET® solutions?
The initial requirements were basic, to have control of the personnel present at the locations and to ensure access in a controlled and agile manner. Before the modification of the use of biometric systems by the AEPD in 2023, employee access was facilitated without forcing them to have a card.
Another need was to connect the DORLET® system with the different existing ones and some report customizations.
